Educational Programs in Guatemala
International Education Conference
Each summer the Rose Education Foundation sponsors the International Education Conference (IEC) for teachers in Guatemala. The conference is hosted each June in coordination with Galileo University in Guatemala City and Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. The goal of the IEC is to provide Guatemalan teachers with practical presentations and workshops to improve teaching and learning. Each year teachers from Guatemala and other countries are invited to participate.
Community Projects
The Rose Education Foundation annually accepts donated computers, school supplies and furniture, hygiene kits, sporting equipment, and musical instruments. We work with a number of local corporations, charities, and school districts. Many volunteers assist in packing and loading 40-foot containers to be shipped by ocean to Guatemala.
